Gordon Shen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Policy, and Community Health and a faculty member of the George McMillan Fleming Center of Health Care Management at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health. Gordon’s work focuses on the cultural aspects of customizing health innovations. His research interests lie at the intersection of global health, mental health, and organization theory. His scholarship has been published in Health Systems and Reform, International Journal of Health Policy and Management, and Bulletin of the World Health Organization. Gordon consulted for the World Health Organization, World Bank, and U.S. Agency for International Development. He received a Ph.D. in health management and organizations from U.C. Berkeley, S.M. in epidemiology from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and B.S. in Psychobiology and Public Health from U.C.L.A..
